Reverend  Michael T. Chandler is the 12th Senior Pastor of the African Baptist Church in Cheriton, Virginia, where he has dedicated his life to serving the community. A native of the beautiful Eastern Shore of Virginia, Pastor Chandler has always embraced his roots.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Norfolk State University, followed by a Master of Science in Accounting from Liberty University. His journey of faith and education led him to obtain a Master of Divinity Degree from the Virginia University of Lynchburg in May 2020. Currently, he is advancing his studies further by pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at Wilmington University.

Beyond his academic accomplishments, Pastor Chandler is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. He has held various leadership roles within the fraternity and currently serves as the District Chaplain for the Maryland, Delaware, and District of Columbia chapters.

Pastor Chandler is married to Lady Shevara Chandler and is a proud father to two wonderful children. His deep love for God and His people inspires him to serve with passion and purpose, sharing his faith through his actions and words.
